See, Touch and Buy
Lily and Serena van der Woodsen have been spotted in some of the best locations in the city, plus these two bohemian, wealthy and blond fashionista’s have an apartment that is simply stunning. The furniture and decor in their apartment were taken from Art Production Fund and tourists are lucky enough to be able to visit that actual gallery in SoHo. Here, visitors can see the latest exhibitions and can even buy reproductions of the art that can be found inside the apartment. What is great is that these reproductions are quite affordable. The apartment’s furniture is taken from the famous ABC Carpet & Home, but when it comes to the clothes; both mother and daughter have different tastes. However, the apple does not fall far from the tree when it comes to shoes as both love to be laced in shoes from the Christian Louboutin boutiques.
For a closer look at the more affordable lifestyle, people can choose to be guided along the paths of Jenny, Dan and Rufus Humphrey. Tourists can visit the Housing Works Bookstore Café, where Dan used to have his meetings with the author Jay Mclnerney. The tour also includes The Odeon, an eatery in TriBeCa, from where Dan stole a pen, which is home to some delicious treats. Other must-see attractions from the list are the New York University, The Fat Black Pussycat bar, Bar None and Mamoun’s Falafel to name a few. Additionally, in Williamsburg, visitors can see The Front Room Gallery, the original art space for Rufus.
Those who feel like urban haute bourgeoisies can adopt the style of Blair Waldorf. Her parties and benefits take tourists to various locations in New York such as Sotheby’s or the classic restaurant, Gramercy Tavern. Blair is also a frequent visitor to shopping stores such as Matthew Williamson in the Meatpacking District, which should not be missed out. One of the most fashionable gossip girls is Chuck Bass and she can be seen in anything from ascots, bow ties, velvet blazers, silk patchwork scarves to lapel pins. One must visit the Empire Hotel that she owns and which is situated in the Upper West Side and offers Gossip Girl cocktails, including Jenny’s Tartlet and Lonely Boy. To find the same trendy clothes that Chuck Bass wears, fans must go to Brooks Brothers, Turnbull & Asser and J. Press. Other hotspots that she used to go to were places such as the Brooklyn Inn and the Golden Unicorn Restaurant.
